Disposal

How do I return used batteries?

Important information on the return of used batteries:

Batteries and rechargeable batteries must not be disposed of in household waste. Consumers are required by law to return used batteries or rechargeable batteries. They can be returned to the public collection points of the municipality or wherever they are sold. We have informed you that batteries and accumulators can be returned to us free of charge after use. You can therefore send used batteries to us for proper disposal:

Batteries and rechargeable batteries subject to mandatory labeling are marked with the symbol below, a crossed-out trash can. Next to it is the chemical symbol of the heavy metal that is decisive for the classification as containing harmful substances.

The characters are:

Pb: the battery / accumulator contains lead
Cd: the accumulator / battery contains cadmium
Hg: the accumulator / battery contains mercury

What does "Material Compliance" mean?

Material Compliance

We deal with compliance with environmental and international laws and regulations, European and international legal requirements, such as REACH, RoHS, POP, Conflict Minerals, which restrict or even prohibit the use of various substances and/or materials in products.

Supply Chain Act

What does the Supply Chain Act describe?

On 01.01.2023, the Supply Chain Sourcing Obligations Act - hereinafter also referred to as LkSG - will come into force. In its scope of application, the LkSG originally obligates companies with a workforce of more than 1,000 employees in particular. ANSMANN AG nevertheless incorporates the requirements of the LkSG that are relevant for you as a company that is not directly legally obligated into its own compliance system on a voluntary basis to the extent possible in order to comply with the legal requirements relevant for you as well as to ensure the protection of human rights and environmental protection in relation to its own supply chains on its own initiative.

Our Code of Conduct is initially shaped by the laws and regulations relevant to us. Our managers and officers are called upon to exemplify this Code and pass it on to our employees.
The Code consists of the basic building block of the Responsible Business Alliance (RBA), to which we have committed ourselves and which concretizes the contents in our Code of Conduct. The core contents are safe working conditions, respectful and dignified treatment of the workforce, and environmentally sound and ethically acceptable business processes.
